Biography

Emmeline Taylor received her B.S. in psychology from Santa Clara University in 2014. Prior to joining UCCS, Emmeline worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Palo Alto supporting research efforts in the field of Veteran mental health and substance use disorders. Emmeline is currently a Ph.D. Candidate and will be beginning her predoctoral internship in July, 2024 at the VA North Texas Health Care System, one of the largest VA health care systems in the country! Emmeline values clinical and research efforts focused on providing evidence-based and accessible care for people who have experienced traumatic stress.

Research Interests

Emmeline’s research interests include women’s health, implementation science, and technology-enhanced treatments for PTSD and co-occurring conditions, the benefits of integrated care in the treatment of PTSD and co-occurring conditions, and psychological and neuropsychological factors involved in posttraumatic adaptation. Currently, Emmeline is working on her dissertation which examines the interplay of postpartum social support, trauma coping self-efficacy, and PTSD symptoms following traumatic childbirth.
