Alex Stover is a clinical psychology doctoral student who joined Dr. Chip Benight’s research lab in August 2019. Alex received his BS in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Kansas in 2018 and earned his MA in psychological science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2022. His current work utilizes his breadth of research experience to investigate motivational processes (e.g., personal goal networks and agency beliefs) in trauma survivors through a resilience and living systems perspective. Outside of his graduate studies, Alex enjoys producing music and skateboarding.
 

Alex's research interests include posttraumatic adaptation, motivation, personal goals, self-efficacy, and nonlinear dynamical systems.
